BIBLIO
Biblio is based on an interactive design that I worked on as a student in the Media Design department at Keio University. It was a project that explored the four primary learning types, visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic. I was able to include each of these learing styles into a learning tool for children to learn about land mammals. Capacitive sensors inside of stuffed animals allowed children to physically play with the subject matter, while accompanying video, audio, and text were provided by a computer.

Biblio is an extension of this project, but it is web based, and fully digital. It is a virtual encyclopedia on nature, and provides valuable information using infographics, video, audio, and text. So while it lacks the physical component of the project, it allows for greater flexibility, and can cover a lot more material.

Biblio's target users are children in grades K-12. Jennifer is the persona that this application is designed for. She is your average fifth grader who utilizes technology in her education and daily activities.
User Mapping

This user map is based on Jennifer. It includes her daily school tasks, feelings when she is in an educational environment, influences on her decision making, pain points when it comes to researching, and doing school work, and her overall goals as a student.
